Coming to the PC and 360 near the end of this year is Velvet Assassin. Set during WWII, you play as Violette Summer, a British agent behind enemy lines. Whats fascinating about her is that shes in a coma through the game and you are essentially playing through her memory of events, which makes for some interesting game mechanics.

Fallout 3 is a beautiful game. It reminds me a lot of Bioshock in the look and feel with the cartoon character that is prevalent throughout the game like the ADAM upgrade cartoon images in Bioshock. While Kenny was playing, the perhaps only non-hostile player in this part of the game comes around a corner (which almost got her shot). But, she wasnt attacking so there was no need.

Its been a long time since Ive seen the sun. It took nearly five minutes for my eyes to adjust to its light. Living in a vault years has that effect on people. It takes me only five feet out onto the desolate street in front of the vault before I realize how lucky I was. Nothing but death and destruction lay before me. Walking further down the street, I pass the ruins of a nearby neighborhood, if you can still call it that. Most of the houses that use to be on this street are nothing but rubble now.

SouthPeak has a strong showing at E3 this year. They had eight titles, all showing tremendous promise (which is more than I can say for some of the larger developers at E3). Its been a long time since Ive been excited about a Sony press event. Being able to finally hear something from Sony that would make me forget about the other giants is no small feat to accomplish. The fact that Microsoft announced Final Fantasy 13 for the Xbox 360 makes things even harder for Sony. Well, I am happy to say that even though Sony didnt wow me, the company did hold a pretty good press conference.

First off, Im extremely excited about this game. Fable 2 is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons to have a 360. I somehow missed the hype boat for the first Fable and bought it on a whim when the extended Lost Chapters came to PC. I have been waiting for the second iteration ever since.
